Abstract
This project determines and assesses the level of awareness and preparedness of wildfires as well as other risks present in the Treasure valley. A survey of Boise State Students was conducted, and several factors such as whether survey participants are/were home owners, their general location of residence in Treasure Valley, and the number of years living in the Treasure Valley were addressed. Through the process of survey distribution, data collection and analysis, we will determine if there is a correlation between frequency of wildfire in Idaho and risk awareness amongst BSU students. If a correlation is found we will then make recommendations to raise awareness and preparedness among Boise State students, residents of the Treasure Valley, and elsewhere.
