Abstract

Many organizations, even those who work with high populations of trauma, are not trauma informed. In this capstone project I created an evidenced based trauma informed training program. This training teaches organizations about best practices for trauma informed care and also how to not recreate trauma within their organizations. The training helped the organization to understand the population they serve so that survivors are getting better care and are met with understanding vs. pathology when they go to seek help.
