Abstract
The limited accessibility and inclusivity of disability in higher education is an ongoing problem. Research continues to show that successful outcomes for disabled students in higher education are significantly lower in comparison to their non-disabled peers (Houtenville & Bach, 2024). This paper details my undergraduate project to raise awareness at Boise State University about the struggles of disability in higher education and what steps can be taken to improve accessibility and inclusivity. The approach of my project was to hold a presentation at Boise State University. Using personal experience, my own undergraduate research on disability, and additional academic research, I created a presentation that informed my audience about the state of disability in higher education, the state of accessibility and inclusivity specifically at Boise State University, and what steps could be taken to promote change.
