Abstract

For this project, my goal was to provide a training video that could be used for training purposes. I solicited for information from my Stakeholders at the Idaho Mountain rescue and the Bogus Basin Environmental education organization. I attended two snowshoe expeditions in the Nordic trail system at Bogus Basin ski resort. I enjoyed a one-night stay in a snow trench shelter in which I recorded and photographed the process that it takes to build one. I explored extended possibilities or learning various methods of survival in the mountains during the winter. I shared my experience with social friends and with my stakeholders. I also would like to mention that I was given a pair of snowshoes from a friend who in return became a stakeholder and investor in the project. One friend joined me (along with a group) on a snowshoe expedition in which we explored an igloo structure and learned various other survival techniques.
