Abstract

The field of early childhood education faces many challenges, including teacher burnout and high staff turnover rates. The job is stressful, and many teachers have very little to no experience or formal training. As a director of a center located in the Boise area, I hoped to create a comprehensive onboarding system to help ensure the efficiency of the first 30 days of employment. This system not only provides many opportunities for support and training, but also streamlines the process for directors, making the hiring process efficient and consistent.
