Abstract

New supervisors in the United States Air Force are often not provided meaningful resources and mentorship to help guide them as they begin to supervise others. This lack of guidance can often lead to their subordinates not approaching them with personal or professional issues. Mentorship and training is key in relaying personal communication and rapport-building techniques that can help these new leaders be the best they can be.
