Abstract

Our interest in promoting a global community through learning about cultures different from our own led us to develop this theme, combining our love for stories and multicultural literature. Our research led us to explore cultures far and wide, through hundreds of stories. We discovered retellings of familiar tales, as well as completely new ones. The abundance of collections available assured us that many people are interested in keeping story traditions alive.
