Abstract
Research background: In the transformation of consumer society, the body is gradually regarded as an important symbol. People are often willing to consume for the body in different ways to seek the shaping of body image. Therefore, the value of body shaping through sports has been gradually paid attention to, and "Fitness fever" has gradually become a new fashion. Based on this, Pierre Bourdieu's social practice theory makes a rational interpretation of the participation behavior of individual actors in the field of sports and analyzes the value correlation between individual sports behavior and society, which is another important consideration for sports fitness participation.
Research methods: According to Bourdieu field theory, relevant literature was collected, sorted and analyzed by using several research methods including literature review, qualitative research, and logical analysis methods. At the same time, 36 fitness participants were investigated by combining participatory observation and semi-structured interviews. When the data collection became saturated, relevant processing was carried out to support the relevant analysis of this study.
Results: As the main practice space of fitness participants, sports field has the characteristics of field effect and is an important action field to realize social restriction and behavior supervision. The in-field habitus generation is the practice logic of fitness practitioners with structural characteristics, and it is an important action reflection that connects the practitioners' own experience and realistic needs. As a practical tool for fitness practitioners, body cultural capital has both representative characteristics and metaphorical important symbolic connotation of body symbols.
Research conclusion: Combining field theory to analyze the sociological significance of physical participation of fitness participants, it was found that sports spatial field directly affected the acquisition of social belonging of fitness participants, physical habituation can build a positive social lifestyle of fitness participants, and physical cultural capital empowerment can drive the transformation of economic capital of fitness participants and then affect social capital.
