Abstract

Purpose: Case preparation as an important means of knowledge production and theory construction. Case preparation for physical education and health curricula is a crucial channel for promoting curriculum reform. Currently, Japan is driving curriculum transformation through the ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) "one student, one terminal” case. China has developed a strong case resource base for digital applications in school sports, but there are relatively few case studies for teaching physical education and health courses. Therefore, the purpose of this paper was to discuss the role of course case preparation, as well as the problems in practice, and then to propose key directions to solve the problem.

Method: This paper collected, analyzed and compared the information related to the case preparation of ICT physical education curriculum in China and Japan through the methods of literature and comparative research, to deeply explore the differences and commonalities between China and Japan in the process of ICT physical education curriculum reform.

Results: (1) Physical education curriculum case preparation contributed to testing the potential of ICT application in physical education teaching and then continuously adjusts and improves it; (2) China should thematically strengthen the focus on digital literacy of physical education teachers, improve the interface with the curriculum teaching content, as well as carry out a rich and dynamic pedagogical evaluation; (3) Deconstructing the problem in terms of reconciling teacher literacy with educational technology under the alignment of values, course content with technological innovation under the sharing of resources, and teaching evaluation with technological rationality under the availability of technology; (4) Enhancing the digital literacy of physical education teachers with discourse system innovation, expanding the content of physical education courses with better ICT pedagogical design, and enriching the evaluation of physical education teaching in the benign construction of human-computer relationship.

Conclusion: Although the "one-student, one-terminal" physical education class in the transformation of Japan's "superintelligent society" is a brand-new attempt, the advanced educational theories and teaching concepts behind it should be paid attention to because they point to the demand for high-quality human resources cultivation in modern education. For physical education in China, ICT curriculum case preparation is both a pathway for the advancement of physical education curriculum reform and a realistic way to implement the digitalization of education initiative.
