Abstract
In 2017, the #RealCollege Survey found that 36% of students at four-year universities nationwide experienced food insecurity. Student hunger garnered attention at Boise State in 2016, and strategic planning efforts to address the problem began spring 2019. The purpose of this project is to conduct a formative evaluation of institutional efforts to combat student food insecurity. The evaluation will provide an assessment of ongoing University endeavors - identifying baseline data, program goals, and key milestones that can be leveraged in performance monitoring strategies. Furthermore, the evaluation will provide targeted feedback to facilitate corrective action and program improvement for future work.
