Abstract
This presentation examines research priority areas for Educational Technology as identified by eighteen leading international scholars. This expert group generated over 67 individual research priority statements which were categorized within primary research focus areas. The seven areas identified as priority areas for future research are listed as follows: Access, Best Practices, Emerging Technologies, Evaluation/Assessment, Impact on the Field, Learners and the Learning Environment. Within the seven priority areas, experts identified specific recommendations for research that addresses current issues, such as access and the impact on the field, as well as providing an agenda for examining the role of teaching and learning with emerging technologies. The presentation features a comprehensive discussion of each priority area and implications for future research endeavors.
