Abstract

We describe the life history of the Utah (desert) valvata (Valvata utahensis, Call 1884) based on original research, field collected information, and review of the available literature. We report here the description, feeding, reproductive biology, life cycle, habitat use, and distribution and status of V. utahensis in the Snake River of southern Idaho, USA.
