Abstract

The threat posed by climate change can be felt heavily by coastal communities. Not only due to rising sea levels, but also ocean acidification, coastal erosion and less drinking water available. This research will look at the effects of climate change on the stakeholders of the Oregon Coast. The local residents as well as home owners that have vacation rentals near the ocean will all be impacted by climate change. High tides, flooding and other natural disaster will likely become more common and more damaging. This will make the coast more difficult for people to maintain as high of a quality of living.
