Abstract
Identification of the Problem
Agriculture has long been a part of the fourth grade Idaho Historic curriculum. In spite of this, students do not seem to have a basic knowledge of agricultural concepts. About 30 percent of Idaho’s population are currently employed in production or agriculturally related occupations. Since Idaho is an agricultural state, many Idahoans believe our students should develop an awareness and understanding of the importance of agriculture in their daily lives.
