Abstract
Purpose: Counselors collaborated with the Agency for New Americans in order to advocate and assist a newly arrived refugee family by exploring the process toward job placement, self-sufficiency, and acculturation. Learning Goals: Worked to apply a broad array of occupational, educational, and informational resources pertaining to the world of work to encourage job placement. Promoted self-efficacy in order to enhance social values, life transition skills, and acculturation. Counselor ‘s practiced understanding career needs from a multicultural perspective.
