Abstract
Standard 5 of the SHAPE America National Standards for K-12 Physical Education indicates that students should come to "value physical activity" as a result of their involvement in physical physical education (SHAPE America - Society of Health and Physical Educators, 2014). Ninety percent of states also include a content standard that relates to "valuing physical activity" (National Association for Sport and Physical Education [NASPE], 2012).
