Abstract
The purpose of this research is to understand the cultural barriers that affect the Latinx community’s access to medical care in Teton Valley, Idaho. Many Latinx residents continue to have fear or surrounding access to Medicare care due to cultural differences and existing immigration policies. Using semi-structured interviews, we will examine the factors that affect access to medical care and how individuals choose to use Western medicine and/or holistic and alternative medicine.
