Abstract
Magnetic Shape Memory (MSM) alloys are an extraordinary class of smart materials that can deform via twinning under relatively mild magnetic field (< 1 T). As such, characterization of twin boundary kinetics is essential to systematically reproduce the actuation properties of MSM elements. Here we present a relatively simple method to measure the transitional driving force (go) beyond which the twin boundary motion is extremely fast (>0.5 m/s).
