Data Attributes

This series of four-component radiation data sets includes five files representing five measurement sites in Dry Creek Experimental Watershed (DCEW). Each of the five sites provides continuous hourly four-component solar radiation (corrected incoming and outgoing shortwave and longwave plus radiation sensor body temperature used for correcting the longwave data). These five sites are provided to encourage multi-site analyses. Sites are named as follows (lowest elevation to highest; with data start dates): Lower Weather (LW; 1151 m; 2012), Treeline (TL; 1610 m; 2010), Shingle Creek (SCR; 1720 m; 2010), Lower Deer Point (LDP; 1843 m; 2012), Bogus Ridge Weather (BRW; 2114 m; 2011). Coordinates for each site are provided in the section below, as well as a DCEW map image. Data gaps, including prior to data initiation, are represented in this published dataset using -6999 as hourly values. This solar radiation data should be considered a processed data product, acquired from identical, but individually calibrated., NR01 4-Component Net Radiation Hukseflux sensors. Processing includes removal of negative shortwave values at night as set to zero and temperature correction for longwave (lw) data. Corrected lw = Raw lw + (5.67*10^-8) *(SensorBodyT in Kelvin^4). This dataset will be added to annually. Further information on this data, sites, methods and publications may be found at https://earth.boisestate.edu/drycreek/data/. DCEW bounds are North 43.8, South 43.6, East -116, West -116.2; GCS_North American_1983, Projected to NAD_83_UTM_11N. Sites provided in lat/long and UTM: LW 43.68853 -116.16991, 566899 48337614; TL 43.73019 -116.140143, 569250 4842265; LDP 43.73708 -116.122113, 570694 4843045; SCR 43.71105 -116.9911996, 572577 4840175; BRW 43.758765 -116.09040419, 573221 4845482.
