Summary & Purpose
Dry Creek Experimental Watershed (DCEW) provides long-term environmental time series data to support hydrometerologic, ecosystem and climate change research. Numerous theses and peer-reviewed publications have utilized this data. This dataset provides continuous hourly wind direction data for five measurement sites in DCEW.

Data Attributes
The five sites are compiled into one dataset to support multi-site analyses. Sites are named as follows (lowest elevation to highest): Lower Weather (1151 m), Treeline (1610 m), Shingle Creek (1720 m), Lower Deer Point (1843), Bogus Ridge Weather (2114 m). Coordinates for each site are provided in the section below, as well as a DCEW map image. Lower Weather and Treeline data are provided from early 1999, while the higher elevation sites provide data from summer 2007 or later. Data gaps, including prior to data initiation, are represented in this published dataset using -6999 as hourly values. This wind direction data should be considered a raw data product, acquired from various wind direction sensors. This dataset will be added to annually. Further information on this data, sites, methods and publications may be found at https://earth.boisestate.edu/drycreek/data/. Data attributes are defined in the header of the data file.
