Summary & Purpose

These data correspond to the time series of glacier terminus positions generated from an automated terminus mapping method described in Liu et al. (2021) applied to glaciers along the periphery of southeast Greenland.

Addition 06/14/2022: Liu_TableS1_20220614.csv file added:

Information on the 56 glaciers (62 glacier outlets) that underwent anomalous retreat in 2016. Identifying information includes each glacier’s Randolph Glacier Inventory ID (RGI_ID), three-digit BoxID assigned to each glacier outlet in the study, and approximate terminus latitude and longitude (decimal degrees). For the multiyear retreat column, 1 indicates multiyear retreat after 2016. The mean, minimum, and maximum 2016 terminus retreat ratios calculated from the 25th to 75th quantile Fourier Series models are shown in three separate columns. Surface runoff ratios correspond to the ratio of surface runoff in 2016 to the mean of the other years. Glacier surface slopes (m/m) shown were calculated 0.5 km and 1 km from the terminus manually traced in the decimal year shown in the last column.
