Artist Statement

Bringing to life the whimsical aspects of children’s stories is one of my greatest passions. I use both digital and traditionally hand-crafted narratives to re-imagine conventional stories as well as create unique, new characters with stories of their own. Additionally, my work explores ideas of security, love connection and exploration that are integral to the human condition.

Ruffle Duck is the cutest, fluffiest duckling in his family. The only trouble is, he’s not very good at being a duck. He can’t swim, he can’t quack and he can’t fly. But Ruffle refuses to admit defeat. He faces his greatest fears, conquers his biggest challenges and asks the really big questions, like, “What if I’m just a chicken?”
