Artist Statement
My piece is a study of clay as a material. Experimenting with process and methodology through texture, variety in firing ranges, and application of materials. I want to experience process as an environment. To bring to the forefront the mundane brick form that goes often unnoticed and reveal the tool as the celebrated work. To revel in the minute nuances that each material presents as it reacts to the process of form and fire and soda.
