Artist's Statement
“Measure of Time” is a conceptual sculpture piece. This is such a valuable asset to me and to our society in general. It can be more precious that other material things that we cherish, with this in mind I set out to create a piece that would represent this idea that time is valuable and a measurable commodity. I choose and combined materials for their richness. I used a waxed finish on the walnut wood to enhance it’s natural beauty with the combination of brass fittings and the luxury of gold paint.
