Description
How can we integrate eBooks into the classroom? Which mobile device is the best for student learning? Learn from rigorous assessment findings from a pilot project that took place last year. The students who participated read eBooks on iPads and netbooks, evaluating each to learn the best uses of each device. This presentation will focus on their findings, and how they were able to accomplish this incredible project!

About the Presenter
Barbara Glackin is an Associate Dean at Albertsons Library, Boise State University. Since her move to Boise in 2003, Ms. Glackin has been actively working to improve access to library materials through the online catalog and WorldCat Local initiative. She shares her knowledge and expertise through publications and presentations at the state, regional, and national level. In addition to presenting and writing on issues related to online access and library technical services, she has written about the specifics of planning and hosting workshops. Ms. Glackin also serves as the library liaison for the Biology and Social Work departments.

Dr. Roy "Butch" Rodenhiser, is the chair of the School of Social Work. Dr. Rodenhiser joined Boise State in 2005. His research interest include social work and technology, program evaluation and assessment, and educational assessment. In addition to creating numerous journal articles, technical reports, and assessment instruments, Dr. Rodenhiser received several grants.
