Abstract
Music is often described as a universal language, connecting people through shared experience and appreciation. Beyond its artistic value, live music has been shown to influence key determinants of health, including physical, mental, and especially social well-being. At a time when loneliness and social isolation are reported at record highs, it is increasingly important to understand how and where individuals find meaningful connection and community. This poster aims to answer the research question: How does attending live music events impact social health? Social connection refers to how individuals interact with others, with an emphasis on meaning, belonging, and support. The goal of this project is to explore the relationship between live music attendance and its role in forming and strengthening social connections among individuals of all ages, genders, and backgrounds, highlighting the broader social health benefits of shared musical experiences.
