Abstract

This study examines individuals aged 18+ to understand their perceptions, behaviors, and usage patterns related to artificial intelligence. Building on the framework developed earlier, the research focuses on three primary questions: motivational factors driving AI use, attitudes and perceptions toward AI, and barriers that may limit engagement. Survey data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and frequency distributions to identify overall trends in AI usage.

While respondents generally feel comfortable using AI and perceive it as beneficial in daily life, usage patterns vary across contexts. For example, frequency distribution results show that AI use for learning purposes is moderately adopted, with responses spread across the scale, suggesting differing levels of engagement among users. Additionally, AI is viewed more as a productivity tool than for entertainment, as indicated by lower mean scores and higher variability in creative usage.

Beyond descriptive analysis, this study proposes deeper insights through correlation and regression analysis to explore relationships between motivations, attitudes, and barriers. These findings provide a more comprehensive understanding of how individuals think about, perceive, and ultimately adopt AI in their everyday lives.
