Abstract

Boise State University, the home of the blue, offers a wide range of academic, health, and support services designed to enhance student success and health. Many students are either unaware of these resources or unsure how to use them effectively, leading to an inequitable distribution of awareness on campus. Access to health services aids mental health to influence how we live, learn, work, and play. This study examines the knowledge gap of medical care, green spaces, and a safe campus environment between Boise State personnel and the student body. Comparative studies, peer reviewed journals, and the Boise State Policy Library were utilized for data collection. Our findings suggest that targeted outreach, transparent communication, and proactive engagement can bridge this gap, fostering a more informed and resourceful student body. By identifying key barriers that contribute to this knowledge gap, we aim to develop strategies that improve communication and accessibility, ensuring students can fully benefit from Boise State resources.
