Abstract

Regenerative Ocean farming is the future of industrial aquaculture. My research question is: How can regenerative ocean farming techniques be used to reduce negative effects traditional, industrial aquaculture has had on the ocean? I am hopeful that with more awareness of this topic, demand will increase and more people will urge others to adopt these practices resulting in a healthier ocean.

Regenerative Ocean Farming is a 3D method of farming the ocean that has goals of both reforesting and restoring areas of the ocean. These farms take zero inputs to grow, are sustainable in terms of food production, economically viable, and the ocean farms act as safe havens for fish and other creatures protected from overfishing, exploitation, and dead zones.
