Our project addresses the perception of gender wage gap within Idaho. We are going to investigate the perception of the wage gap between men and women. We are also going to discover the perception of the wage gap by age groups. This project will utilize a survey to identify the extent of which people believe this problem exists. The survey will be administered to several different age groups to create diverse results.

From these results, we will spread awareness about the gender wage gap. We will create a brochure and a video. The brochure will highlight Idaho’s gender wage gap in comparison to the rest of the United States. It will also spotlight gender wage gap by career choice. Our video will incorporate how the perception of the wage gap differentiates from the data we collected. Both our brochure and our video will include our survey results displayed through a line graph. We will pass out our brochure in Boise State economic classes as well as in a middle school classroom. At the undergraduate research conference, we will pass out brochures and show our video on an iPad.
