Abstract

This project proposes the creation of an integrated, streamlined curriculum in the Meridian School District which combines two current classes and a newly state mandated senior project into a single, year-long course. The project contains a review of current literature as it relates to curriculum integration, senior projects and the importance of financial literacy in school curriculum. A short critique of the flaws of the current situation and several descriptions of the significant advantages of a combined course are presented. Some common objections to implementation are addressed and a design outline of the recommended curriculum is included in Appendix D.
