Abstract

This special issue of Progress in Materials Science is a collection of review papers based on the invited talks presented at the MRS Spring 2008 symposium that focused on the impact of Professor Frank Nabarro’s work over the last 66 years on modern-day materials science and engineering. Professor Nabarro’s seminal research on dislocation theory will always be etched in the minds of materials science and engineering scholars throughout the world.
