Abstract
There were many different projects I worked on while at Simplot. However, my main goal was to see if vasculature was a driving force behind tolerance. So two separate experiments were looked into, field cultivars and stem counts as it relates to verticillium wilt symptoms. As well as the creation of a methodology behind taking inoculated and non-inoculated potatoes and visualizing vascular occlusion with a microtome. Field data suggests that the verticillium symptoms do not correlate to stem counts. However, while taking data an idea behind rigidity and the tolerance of the Verticillium dahliae.
