Abstract

The potato psyllid fig 1c is a pest which causes destruction and economic loss for the potato Industry. The purpose of this study was to provide a better understanding of the reproductive biology of potato psyllids, Bactericera cockerelli, (Hemiptera: Triozidae). The length of copulation and the emergence times of females versus males have not been previously reported. This experiment will give a better framework of potato psyllid reproduction and development, which will be useful for future research.
