Abstract
My work explores commodified identity. I'm interested in how one's identity is composed of various products and iconography. Recently, I have been exploring identity within endurance sports and athletic subcultures. I hope to create a dialogue about the various ways one can subscribe and self-brand to represent themselves as an "athlete", "runner", "cyclist" etc. This work is meant to open a conversation and illustrate a deconstruction of the various products and motifs that compose one's identity within various athletic genres.
