The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry promotes student success by achieving excellence in the following:
- Research – 21st century problems are tackled through innovative research efforts in a wide variety of areas, including agricultural, medicinal, and astrochemistry, and many more.
- Culture – We strive to create a positive, welcoming environment where students, staff, and faculty interact inside the classroom, as well as outside of it, through spontaneous barbeques and engaging seminars.
- Curriculum – Our invigorating curriculum conveys the knowledge of the complex discipline of chemistry to our students and the general public.
The Master of Science in Chemistry program at Boise State University provides students with advanced training in modern chemistry or biochemistry research methods. The program is designed for students seeking further education and research experience to advance to the next level in their career track. Our alumni have successfully entered doctoral programs, medical schools, and secured employment in various industries.
