Dr. Olaziregi, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Linguistics and Basque Studies at the University of the Basque Country (Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain). She is also serving as the Director of the Basque Language and Culture Lecturers and Chairs Network of the Etxepare Basque Institute, a public body created by the Basque Government. She specializes in contemporary Basque and Iberian literature, Comparative Literature, Postcolonial Studies, Basque Cultural Studies, and Memory Studies. She has written numerous forewords for Basque novels and anthologies, is also the author of seven books on Basque literature, 60 book-chapters, 10 edited books, and 70 articles in international journals.
