Artist Statement

My work explores the relationship between bloodlines and multiculturalism. With influences as diverse as Bob Haro and the Vespula Germanica, tensions are distilled between the size and the obscure.

Since the day before yesterday’s tomorrow, I have been fascinated with the oscillation of my own pedigree. What starts out as a yearning soon becomes debased into a cacophony of concupiscence, leaving only a sense of decadence and the unlikelihood of a new synthesis.

As wavering forms become reconfigured through boundaries and repetitive practice, the viewer is left with a tribute to the possibilities of our existence.
