Abstract
This project addresses the potential for solar power energy provision on the Boise State University campus, focuses on carbon reduction, and emphasizes Idaho’s current transmission problem. Consultations with electrical engineers on campus resulted in a proposal for off-grid solar lighting behind the Albertson’s Library. Currently, we are discussing grant opportunities with Idaho Strategic Energy Alliance and Bronco Sports Properties to aid in finding sustainable solutions for campus, specifically for the Bronco Stadium. We are also working to obtain quotes for both outdoor and rooftop solar opportunities on campus.
