Abstract
I conducted my study to find if family stressors in life can have an effect on students’ grade point average. The stressor I chose to measure for this particular study was the students’ parents’ divorce. My hypotheses for this study were to find that students’ whose parents were divorced would have a significantly lower grade point average than those whose parents were not divorced. Those students who reported that their parents’ divorce created a significant amount of stress in their life would have a significantly lower grade point average than those who did not, and that the younger you were when your parents got divorced the lesser of an impact it would have on your grade point average.
