Abstract
Service Project Purpose: To help acclimate the family to the Boise area and the surrounding culture, and to aid in the development of their career skills in order to help them in the process of looking for a job. Learning Goals: To be reflective and adaptable to the needs of the family while simultaneously being aware of the interactions of cross-cultural and multicultural dynamics at play through our work with our family. In addition, it was imperative to the learning process that we were able and willing to be open to engaging in direct, respectful, and non-defensive communication with the instructor and agency staff about the experience
