Boys and Books: Bringing Them Together

Abstract
Boys and books—many parents wonder how they can bring these two together. Yet, in a recent broad study of boys and literacy, my co-researcher, Michael Smith, and I found that boys are much more literate than most adults assume. And, there are a number of things we can do to encourage them to greater literacy achievement.
