Boise Urban Garden School (BUGS)
The objective of this project is to create engaging signage for the Boise Urban Garden School (BUGS) new garden education facility in Komba Park, located near Ustick and Five-Mile roads in Boise, Idaho. BUGS is an educational based program in a garden setting that teaches K-12 students about the importance of sustainability, food sourcing, and locally grown produce. The Scope of the project includes an analysis of the effective characteristics of other urban garden schools and creation of fifteen interchangeable signs that can be moved around the garden; we have also created three special signs that have been designed to encourage hands-on, interactive learning. We are currently coordinating with graphic designers and sign companies to develop and finalize our project within the proposed budget.
