Abstract
Assessment and remediation of brownfields is an expensive process that requires cooperation between many parties. Ultimately, sensitive economic information is required from participants to show how funding leveraged by the Brownfield Program helps local developments. This project provides a framework by which return on investment (ROI) data on properties that have undergone environmental assessment and redevelopment through the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (IDEQ) Brownfield Program can be collected and analyzed. A survey instrument was redesigned and reformatted, and the new survey was benchmarked with the help of three local developers who had previously utilized the Brownfield Program. The information gathered will aid the Brownfield Program in providing detailed success stories and better influence future developers to utilize the program.
