Corvus in the Void
wax encaustic and mixed media
Dimensions: Composed of 2 canvases, 24" x 24" x 2" each
This piece is part of an encaustic series about the life, death, and rebirth of a crow. It is the point in which he finds himself in "the void" - between the spaces of time - after he has died, and before his re-emergence into the world. "Corvus" is the latin term and constellation of crow.
I am endlessly inspired by the mystical aspects of the natural world. The art simply flows as a result. www.waxwingencausticstudio.com.
